littautochtone.org
Successful in her eCampusOntario grant application to produce a first-of-its-kind online French-language resource about indigenous literature and culture in Canada, Brescia University College professor Dr. Carmen McCarron sought a local technology firm to bring her proposal from paper to life.
Digital Echidna worked with Dr. McCarron to create littautochtone.org, an eight-chapter multimedia online experience that has use as a complementary learning resource for her own students and course material or as standalone resource in universities across the country. Each chapter contains a written reading guide and a bibliography, which is followed by an online multiple choice quiz based on that reading guide. To make the material more interesting and three dimensional, the resource has multimedia components such as videos, images, and audio, as well as a unique visual mapping feature.
